Skautfold: Knight's End
Developer Pugware
Combat:
Knight's End features a unique combat system, focusing on the usage of 'Guard' as both a defensive barrier, and a resource used for attacks. This is the evolution of the systems present in Usurper and Moonless Knight. Battles take place on a timeline, instead of flat combat turns; actions have different guard costs, cast times, and cooldowns, which all help determine the flow of the battle.
Active defensive play will allow you to block, evade, ward, or parry incoming attacks. Using the right type of defensive action with the right timing will drastically reduce or even outright negate damage; all whilst building your combo chain.
Exploit the enemy's shifting weaknesses - as they use one of 3 defensive stances, use the right type of attack to drastically increase your damage and gain a combo chain. Each of your attacks will inflict some kind of status effect, allowing you to weaken your enemy, or exploiting applied statuses to create further effects. Spend your combo chain for devastating attacks; the bigger the combo chain, the greater the impact!
Story / Exploration:
In the final days of humanity, you take up arms as Lennecia Britannia, the First Knight of the Angelic Empire of Britannia. The Moon has opened up, revealing the Eldritch horror within. Chunks of the shattered Moon are on a collision course with Earth, threatening to cleanse all life from the surface. As the preparations finish for an Ark-like escape from the doomed world, Len sets out on a more personal mission to save a person dear to her.
Explore the Waltham Industries Vitae production factory. A deepening mystery below begins to unfold, as you uncover the history of the most notorious figure in the series, Alfred Waltham. As the end draws near, you will help him fulfill his final scheme...
Grow your arsenal of weapons, spells, and occult items, as well as your own power; as you face down the creatures, experiments and rejects roaming the facility in the depths of the factory.
The story serves as the finale to the events of Shrouded in Sanity, Usurper, Into the Fray, and Moonless Knight as the Skautfold series reaches its conclusion. Knowledge of the previous games in the series is not required, but it will most certainly make it even more enjoyable!

Skautfold: Into the Fray
Developer Pugware
Into the Fray is a sequel to Usurper and Shrouded in Sanity, as it is part of the Skautfold series. However, knowledge of the previous games is not necessary to enjoy the game.
Into the Fray is an oblique top-down action shooter.
The focus is on fast, bloody combat with satisfying feedback and environmental reactivity; all under the heavy presence of a dark Lovecraftian story of civil strife.
The tools of your trade will include an arsenal of devastating top-of-the-line firearms; from hand-cannons, to triple-barrel shotguns, as well as prototype weaponry from the great Nikola himself. These weapons will be your best friends and only hope of survival if you want to put an end to both the bloodthirsty rebels, and eldritch abominations alike.
To aid your enjoyment of the carnage that will unfold, gore and environmental reactivity are top priority; break just about anything, kick around barrels of oil and then set them on fire as traps, or just straight up give the boot to your enemies and watch them trigger traps. Why open a door when you can break it down?! Persistent gore and debris will help immerse you in the world as you rip, tear and explode your way to victory.

Story
The story is set in 1899, based on an alternate history of the island of Portland, off the south coast of England. You take control of Hito, one of the Knights of the Empire, and head to the Island to investigate reports of a missing royal, and the presence of a rebellious faction called the Sons of Washington. Soon, the Fog descends, leaving you and the islanders to fend off the would-be rebels who have made a pact with entities from the Cosmos.Gameplay
Into the Fray is framed around an overview map of the island; where you can pick from a range of missions to undertake as the story progresses. These missions will have you visit the streets of the island, dank cave systems, and even secret underground tunnel networks. But all is not as it might appear; the streets are filled with corpses and infested with eldritch entities, whilst the tunnel networks are home to a series of horrific rituals that are aimed at growing the Fogs' influence... and as you search for a way to stop the ongoing destruction, you're sure to stumble upon some of the deepest darkest secrets of the island. The tools of your trade will include an arsenal of devastating top-of-the-line firearms; from hand-cannons, to triple-barrel shotguns, as well as prototype weaponry from the great Nikola himself. Skautfold: Moonless Knight
Developer Pugware
Exploration:
Forge your own path in a single, deeply interconnected Metroidvania world. Shortcuts, loops, and a tightly-woven world await as you explore the Imperial Palace; an ominous place with its intimate surroundings and the eldritch secrets that lie below. Uncover the history of the Palace through environmental storytelling, and piece together the dark secrets of the first God Emperor Oda Nobunaga.
Pick your path and your battles; the world features a semi-open design with multiple paths to your objective, as well as tons of secrets to uncover. Take on bosses in any order you please, and find shortcuts and safe-havens in the castle under siege to solidify your foothold and turn the situation in your favour.
Return to past areas with your newfound Relics and find treasure, and grow further in power.
Find familiars to aid you in combat, dying soldiers in need of a healing injection, Yth stones, hidden stashes of money, ninja-like pugs hiding in plain sight, and Eldritch horrors posing as things you would love to get your hands on...
Combat:
Fight for your life using the significantly improved Guard System returning from Usurper; the overhaul of which provides a much deeper and more versatile system than its predecessor. Use your perfectly timed block to reflect enemy attacks, or a well-timed dodge to create an opening that bypasses the enemy's guard so that you can hit their Health directly!
Careless actions in combat will have a snowball effect; any health damage taken will result in a loss of maximum guard; and this applies to both sides. Simply put: Punish enemies, or get punished yourself!
Employ Waltham Industry's Vitae Injections to recover your health, or alternatively, use them at full health to overcharge your health for a short while to buff your damage output or tank damage you have trouble avoiding.
The system now rewards wise weapon selection; heavy weapon users will be more rewarded for mastering defence and breaking enemy guard by sheer force, while players using faster weapons will need to employ evasive manoeuvres to follow up on openings.
Use any one of 9 combat/exploration relics to compliment your combat ability, and bypass barriers in the world. Relics include grappling hooks, a bow with infinite arrows, and the ability to summon a fire vampire, or teleport instantaneously. All balanced to provide further tactical and movement options to maximize your combat potential.
Turn the environment against your enemies! Kick them into their own traps, pits, and spikes to flip fortune in your favour.
Feint out of almost all actions! Did you swing your slow weapon too late, and now it looks like you are about to be hit? Feint, and initiate a defensive move instead! Did you grapple to an enemy from afar, but they started swinging? Feint, and enjoy not getting slapped by their attack! You can also potentially double your damage output with a fast hand by feinting out of the wind-down animation of your attacks.
Level your stats through use. Instead of general exp, each of your 9 stats will increase naturally through use in battle; taking a lot of hard knocks and direct hits will make you tougher, become consistently adept at avoiding attacks and you will level up evasion, swing your favourite weapon type around enough and you will become more efficient at it; causing more damage whilst costing less guard.
Story:
In this Lovecraftian story, you will take on the role of Gray, the 2nd Knight of the Angelic Empire of Britannia, as an envoy sent on a diplomatic mission to the Dawn Empire of Japan. This quickly goes horribly wrong, and Gray has to take responsibility as he finds himself in the midst of a religious coup instigated by the Lunatics; a faction worshipping the Eldritch Moon god.
Soon enough, you will find yourself exploring the Oda Imperial Palace; where you learn about the dark secret that lies below. It is here that you will attempt to fulfil your mission and recover a very special item for which the survival of the entire Empire hinges on. Prepare for an insane ride; as the very moon shall open to reveal the fate of humanity and the unavoidable realisation of our insignificance.
The story follows the events of Shrouded in Sanity, Usurper, and Into the Fray, as the Skautfold series is heading to its conclusion. Knowledge of the previous games is not required to enjoy the game, but it will most certainly make it even more enjoyable.
A quick word from the developer;
Skautfold: Moonless Knight is the culmination of everything learnt from developing my previous three games. Developing alone may be hard at times, but it allows me to deliver my vision in a complete, uncompromising manner. I hope you will enjoy what I consider to be my best work yet, and I am ever-grateful for your loyal support.

Skautfold: Usurper
Developer Pugware
Usurper is a sequel to Shrouded in Sanity, however, knowledge of the first game is not necessary, it is the second part of the Skautfold game series.
Usurper is a Metroidvania Action-RPG. With Eldritch horrors having been unleashed by the outer-worldly Citadel, your job is to rid London of its terrors. Use the new "Guard" system that rewards skillful play and accuracy, to uncover the massive structure and defeat the nightmares lurking within.
Usurper's battle system is built around "Guard"; a system that allows the player to charge through attacks and take risks, rewarding accurate timing and risk assesment. Instead of immediately losing health when the player is hit, they will loose "Guard points" (which function like a regeneration shield). When these run out, the player will take damage normally. However, if the player accurately dodges through incoming attacks, they will turn a large portion of that attack damage into "Guard points", which allows you to turn the tide of the fight, and gain the upper hand. This is a system that will allow anyone to get into the game, yet still provide a high skill ceiling for those players looking for a challenge.
Players can also take advantage of a reflective shield; capable of turning most enemy projectiles into "friendly" ones, so you can strike back with the enemy's own weapons. While this will not regenerate Guard, it will still negate attacks at a lesser Guard cost.
With eight different stats to spec into (along with stat reallocation), countless varieties of character builds are possible. Usurper also features over 90 different weapons and spells; from swords, spears, axes, great swords, sycthes, whips, katanas, rapiers, daggers, bows, guns, rifles, canons, spells and summons.
If you're looking for even more content, then there are innumerable secrets, additional areas and optional bosses to discover. Or perhaps you'd rather set your own difficulty by activating special conditions such as; no-guard mode, 1 HP mode, perma-death, or a built-in speedrunning mode.
However you choose to play, The Citadel is a massive and versatile interconnected world. There are countless shortcuts to uncover, and a variety of diverse areas; from human towns to alien landscapes, grand libraries to ethereal gardens, and from an Eldritch engine to a crashed spaceship.
Usurper takes place in an alternative timeline of 1898 in London. The outer worldly Citadel has landed in the city causing massive panic and releasing the maddening Fog. Recently re-crowned Empress Eleanor has assembled the royal forces and her four most loyal Knights to enter the Citadel - in the hopes of learning more, and hopefully finding a way to rid London of this terror. Meanwhile, Waltham, the leader of the Veimar, uses his own forces to ascend the Citadel and challenge the Navigator for his own...purposes...
